From Oswaldtwistle to the World – The Industrial Revolution

Dear students,

our age is shaped by technology. We cannot really imagine a life without our mobile phone, TV, computer, smart devices, light switch, washing machine, car, … We owe all this largely to one man from Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire who, in 1770, took out a patent for the Spinning Jenny – and thereby started the Industrial Revolution.

In this class, we are going to dive a little deeper into this crucial time in our history and look at it from a British perspective.

You are all very welcome!

Kind regards, A. Henn
